FOMMS 2027 Movie: Call for Submissions
The FOMMS Movie is one of the highlights of the conference series. It is created from molecular simulation clips submitted by participants. The FOMMS 2027 Movie Director is Tobias Dwyer.

This year's Movie depends on you. We want to continue celebrating the beautiful and scientifically meaningful visualizations our community produces — and that means we need your movies.

What to Submit
This year we will once again hold a movie competition judged by a committee to recognize the most beautiful and informative entries. Beyond the competition, we warmly encourage:
- Simulations celebrating 30 years of FOMMS
- Non-competition simulation movies
- Impressive visualizations of computational data from your research, whether recently produced or unearthed from the archives
- Movies that trace your personal growth as a simulator — many of us start with small proof-of-concept animations that never see the light of day, but evolve those into something truly impressive. I'd love to see that journey.
- Simulations that brought you humor or joy, beyond pure scientific merit or visual beauty

About the Director
Tobias Dwyer completed his PhD in Chemical Engineering in Professor Sharon Glotzer's group in 2025, and is now a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA), in the Šarić Group. More information is available at tobiasdwyer.com.
